Research Interest
I consider myself a roboticist, a multi-disciplinary system engineer - integrating knowledge from mechanical, electrical, and computer science to create smart, adaptive machines for practical use. During my past three years, I spent my time researching these three fields, and below are the problems I aim to resolve:
The current soft actuators are tedious to fabricate while hard to standardize the product - How could we design easily fabricated soft actuators?
The sensors are hard to integrate into soft robots- How could we design smart sensors for soft bodies?
The soft actuators are hard to model and control as they are considered to consist of infinite degrees of freedom - How could we design a universal algorithm for soft body modeling?
And finally, how to make a robot system deployable for medical purposes and other possible applications?
I believe to understand the logic, systematic robotic studying and researching is unavoidable - exactly the reason now I aim to research possible algorithms to ease the structure and manufacturing process of soft robots.
